Ok, shooting Incubus really was the best experience I’d had so far in my professional career. My few months at Titanmen have been incredible but that first week I felt like Harry Potter probably did his first week at Hogwarts.
That said… no shoot is without it’s mini-disasters, minor-crises or total fuckups. Luckily, just about every possible problem that could strike all happened during the two days – and in fact four or so hours – that we were shooting the “Bacchus Scene.” The sun was beaming down… so we raised the scrim to dissipate the light. Then the clouds came in so we took it down… started shooting and it began to rain… then the noise upon noise from the surrounding area… and dead batteries, missing cables, power loss… one thing after another. But we got it done. And the end result is one of the most jaw-dropping things I’ve worked on.
