The premiere of Magic City officially airs on Starz this weekend, giving me an excuse to introduce you all to the blue-eyed visage of one Christian Cooke.
Sometimes called the British Chace Crawford (Is that a compliment?), Cooke, 24, hails from Leeds, just south of Scotland. As luck has it for many British actors, he’s now playing an American on TV, so out goes his delightful native accent. But with over a a decade–already–of show business experience (mostly on British TV), Cooke seems up to the challenge. We’ll see how well he does on ‘Magic‘.
Back to his looks. I actually think he’s moved away from being a Chace Crawford look to being a less muscular version of Tom Hardy. (THAT’S a compliment!) After all, he’s got the pouty lips and the dark hair. Unlike Hardy, though, there’s still a boyishness to Cooke. There’s also a bit of sadness and perhaps a hint of terror lurking deep beneath.
He’s still young, of course, though certainly good looking enough to now be called HOTT.
