First, the name. It’s pronounced “Zoo-cree”.
At the tender age of 34, Matt Czuchry has made a career out of playing self-righteous, arrogant and smug assholes*, especially in the last few years. On Friday Night Lights, he played Chris Kennedy, a Christian fundamentalist out to steal away the always fickle Lyla Garrity (Minka Kelly) away from her boyfriend Tim Riggins. On The Good Wife, whose season three premiere airs tonight, Czuchry’s Cary Agos has been the main rival to Alicia Florrick’s titular Wife (played by Emmy Award winner Julianna Marguiles).
And yet, the handsome New Hampshire native manages the feat of playing a bastard in a way that keeps you interested. His characters are devious, but oh so fun to watch. And he’s not bad looking either. For that, Matt Czuchry gets a place in the HOTT roster.
*I never watched Gilmore Girls so I don’t know what kind of character he played on that show.
