Taxes Paying for Bondage Porn?

Here’s your stimulus package.

Seems that the porn industry.. one of the few industries that’s still helping grow the economy.. has been getting a little unwitting help from the Tax payers of California.

Kink.com’s parent company had simply been sending employees to get multimedia training at a California non-profit (the Bay Area Video Coalition) and was being reimbursed for that training. But once the state found out, they singled out Kink.com and decided to STOP reimbursing them exclusively.
Kink.com, the brilliant studio that’s brought us such ground-breaking porn sites as Bound Gods and our New Site Of The Month Naked Kombat, has found itself at the middle of a controversy about who gets government help and who doesn’t.

Of course the mainstream media is running with it with the typical anti-porn hysteria you’d expect from people who never get laid.

So far, California taxpayers have paid just under $50K to help the huge studio (most of their content is straight) but have surely gotten more back from them in taxes paid on the income… and let’s not forget that Kink.com is a very successful companies that’s making money and therefore paying taxes.

Check out their sites Bound Gods, Butt Machine Boys, Male Wank, Men in Pain, Naked Kombat or their Mega Site Kink On Demand.

And read more about it here at the SF Weekly.
